Status: In familiar territory...in so many ways.
It is a bit comforting how little things change, even when you're in a foreign country.
Penn's class this morning was one of those things that will never change, regardless of global location. We probably got through 5 scripts in the two and half hours we were there. Of course, there was criticism on the scripts, themselves, but we got into yet another conversation about the differences between his generation and our generation and the utter patheticness of what we call "networking" (meaning cell phone, chat rooms, online dating [e-harmony], Skype, ect.)
Most of the scripts we heard about in class were really good, but with a lot of them, I'm wondering how they're going to pull off the filming. We're in London as amateur filmmakers and we have 3 or 4 weeks to get 15 scripts filmed. In no way are you going to have time to go to an airport and film yourself as an airport receptionist, get into a plane and film, film in an exclusive London pub that's crowded with people who might not want to be filmed by you, etc.. You are pretty much limited to the sites, local pubs, parks, the Thames and your dorm complex. In those areas, you can be VERY creative and get your shots, but if you need to film inside a plane, there might be some problems.
But, I suppose I can't talk. Mine might be a bit hard to film as well
I want to see some shows while I'm here and I'm going to. I decided to skip the HP premier when I saw how many people there were when I got there. If Alan Rickman were to come down the red carpet, I might get a pictures of one of his hairs on his head, but that's about it. So, I must make up for that with some amazing shows. I will post and you can help me choose ^_^
I'd say pip pip, cherrio and all that rot, but I'm going to post with the shows, so I'll say 'til then!
